good-way-to-start

This is for all you resolution-setters, word-of-the-year makers, and even the procrastinators. If you listened to those creative urges in 2016 and ignored them or signed up for a class or two and want to commit to more (or if you just like a good sale), come and dive in to 2017 with me!

My individual classes are $50 per session. I am currently offering a ONE PAYMENT option of $250 FOR 6 CLASSES! By registering and paying for 6 classes at one time you will save $50, which basically gives you one FREE class. To register and get all the specific info on class dates and times, please visit my Class Signups page.

*You can select any 6 classes between January and June 2017. Classes can be a combination of Artful Thursday classes or Satur-Day of Art classes. You must determine the specific date of the 6 classes you are registering for at time of payment.

Artful Thursdays and Satur-Days of Art are multilevel classes designed to allow anyone to jump in right where you are today in a safe and inspiring class setting. Imperfection and Celebration

imperfecttree

How often do you celebrate imperfection with Christmas?

This is the first year I bought perfectly matching ribbon and balls (not breakable – yes, I am learning). Well, this year Amy requested her handmade wreath be close to the top of our tree…and we agreed!

The next morning I found  S’more (our puppy) wrapped in a strand of lights!!! As I approached S’more to untangle him, he began to move away causing the tree to begin to fall!!! I saved the tree from turning over and poor S’more now goes around it.

Paint a Gift

This month’s Artful Thursdays class will focus on creating with others in mind.

DECEMBER 1 Class: Paint a Gift!

gift-ideasTis the season to think of creative gifts for the people we love and appreciate. In this class we will focus on making art to give to others.

BRING: Your lunch, a journal, paints, pencils, brushes and ideas.

Bring materials for the gift ideas that you have. Possible ideas: wooden boxes, coffee mugs, picture frames, glass ornaments. If you would like to gift a painting, bring a canvas and paints.

glass-paint**Keep in mind that if you are painting glass, be sure to bring paints that are designed for that purpose (typically these paints dry and then are baked to seal them), especially if you are thinking about something like a coffee mug. Feel free to call or email me if you have questions about any materials that you are considering.

When and where: 9:30 am – 2:00 pm, Joan’s Studio: 2003 Pleasant Valley Rd, Pearland TX 77581

Payment: Cash, Check to Joan Moody or PayPal.

Cost: $50. You bring your own materials or pay $10 additionally per class to use my materials. You must let me know if you will be using my materials.
